Ritz Cracker Cookies

Recipe makes about 48 delicious cookies!

Supplies

Ingredients:

-1 package almond bark (24oz.)

-About 3 sleeves of Ritz crackers

-Peanut butter

-Sprinkles (optional)

Tools:

-Butter knife

-Fork

-Microwave-safe bowl

-Wax paper

Gather ingredients and tools listed. Keeping them close will allow for quick and efficient preparing of the cookies.

Prepare the inside of the cookie by using a butter knife to spread peanut butter onto a single Ritz cracker. Then place another cracker on top, like a sandwich (see pictures above). Make up all of the cracker/peanut butter sandwiches, before moving onto step 3.

Unwrap and place almond bark, break apart, and place in microwave-safe bowl. Heat for one minute, stir, and continue heating at 15 second intervals, then stirring, until completely melted. Avoid overheating.

Remove almond bark from microwave. Drop a cracker sandwich into the almond bark and cover. Remove the cracker from the bowl with a fork and get rid of excess almond bark by tapping fork on the bowl. Continue tapping until desired amount of almond bark is on the cookie. Work fairly quickly so that the almond bark doesn’t harden in the bowl.

Place the cookies onto a sheet of wax paper, add sprinkles if you’d like, and let harden. Cookies usually take around 20 minutes from completion to be completely hardened.

Once cookies are hardened, remove from wax paper and enjoy! Cookies can be stored in a plastic container for future enjoyment.
