Ridiculous Goggles

You too can make really heavy goggles that blur your vision except for what is two inches in front of your face.
I was looking at a few 'ibles that used binoculars to get macro photos and I though "Hey, why don't I strap something like that to my face?" So I did.

I created this instructable long after I made the goggles so I had to go back and deconstruct everything, but I am too lazy to untie the straps and take a boring picture of regular sunglasses.

- Cheap sunglasses
- Binoculars
- Elastic bands

It's a good idea to not use aviator style glasses because they are to large. Go for a slimmer, sportier look.
Pop out the lenses. I'm not a pro, but bashing them with a hammer seems like a simlpe enough method.

I bought some vivitar brand 'noculars from the drug store for 10$. Unscrew the big part at the end and insert it into the empty frame of the glasses. If it feels loose you should bend the frame and then reinsert.

At this point you are pretty much done, but the unbalanced nature of this creation can bug you to no end, or worse, they could fall off you face and break your toe.
You will need to find some elastic bands. I got mine from those painters masks that people in smoggy industrial cities wear so they don't get Black Lung. I also found a strong band on an old pair of safety goggles...my attempt at steam punk goggles. Epic Failure.

Take one and put in coming from the temples and around the back of your head. Then have another fastened near your ears and beneath your chin.

These things are good for reading stuff real up close like and everything seems smoother. High Defintion at 2 inches. Even if you never have to use them, they still look really crazy. Imagine walking down main street with this and a straight jacket on.

You may decide to add a little padding; they do get heavy after a while don't they?
