Ribbed Double Thick Crochet Square Potholder
Crochet Potholders are the most basic and versatile projects to make. You can make them in size any size and shape of your need. You can easily change the shape and size by altering the starting number of Chains. Its always advisable to use cotton yarn to make crochet potholders.
Today am sharing the pattern for a Simple and Easy Ribbed Double Thick Crochet Square Potholder. The pattern is very easy and quick to make with simple stitches. The Pattern is worked in rounds untill its square in shape. This gives the Double Thickness to the Potholder makes it strong and durable too.
The Ribbed Texture of the potholder is made with working in the Third loop only. Potholders are also one of my favorite projects to give as gifts to friends and family. This Simple Double Thick Potholder crochet pattern is a great project to try.
Size:-
9 inches- Customizable to any size
Supplies
8 Ply Cotton Yarn
5 mm Crochet Hook

Round 1:-
Start with a slip knot.
Chain 30 +1 Chain extra for the turning Chain.
If you wish to make a larger size potholder, then you can adjust these starting number of chain stitches according to your requirement.
Round 2:-
3 Double Crochets in the 2nd chain from the hook.
1 Double Crochet each in the remaining stitches untill the last stitch.
3 Double Crochets in the last stitch.
Turn your work and start working on the opposite side.
1 Double Crochet each in the remaining stitches untill the last stitch.
Slip stitch on top of the 1st Double Crochet.
Round 3:-
**This round onwards , we will be making the stitches into the Third Back Loop of the stitch.
Chain 2.
1 Double Crochet in the Third loop.
Continue with 1 Double Crochet in the third loop in each of the remaining stitches.
Once you reach the end, do not Slip Stitch. We will be working in continuous rounds.
Round 4 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 3 untill its around 9 inches in size or untill it forms a Square shape.
Joining:-
Align both the sides neatly.
*Insert your hook into the Back Loop of the front side and insert your hook into the Front Loop of the back side and make a Single Crochet.*
Repeat from *to* in each of the remaining stitches.
Hanging Loop:-
Chain 10 and make a Slip Stitch on the bottom stitch and weave off.
