Ribbed Crochet Cap

This crochet hat pattern is very simple and perfect for a beginner. The ribbed effect comes from working only in the back loop of each crochet stitch.
Also, the size can be worked as desired, for a baby and adult size. You just need to change the starting number of chain stitches(which forms the height) and the length(which forms the circumference) of the cap.
Materials Used:-
- 8 ply Acrylic Yarn
- 5mm Crochet Hook

Start with Slip Knot.

Cast 27 Chain Stitches.

Work Single Crochet(SC) in all the Chain Stitches.

Chain 1 and turn your work.

Now you will be working only in the back loops.
Single Crochet in the Back Loops all around.

This creates the ribbed pattern.

Keeping working till u reach the desired length.

Now, fold you work in half.

Take a Yarn Needle and join the ends.
You can join the ends by slip stitch as well.

Now close the top of your hat by stitching with the needle.

I have added a wool pom pom to finish the hat.
You can find the link for making Pom Pom here.
