Rib Cage Braid
Braids are fun and challenging to learn! Some easy braids are French, Dutch, or even fishtail braids. But have you ever heard of a rib cage braid? A rib cage braid may sound complicated, but I can promise it's not. So here in this step-by-step tutorial, I will teach you how to do a rib cage braid.
Supplies
You will need all of the following items:
- Hairbrush
- Bobby Pins
- Elastics
- Hair ties
Brush the Hair
Using your hair brush be sure to brush all the tangles and knots out of the hair.
Start from the bottom of the hair when brushing. This will help get the knots out more efficiently.
You can use detangling spray to help get the knots out.
Put the Hair in a Pony
Using your hairbrush and hair tie, brush all the hair up into a pony tail.
Make sure the ponytail doesn't have any knots.
Start Braiding
Grab the top section of the ponytail and break it into three different strands.
Add another small strand of hair (rightmost green) to the right strand (green)
Then pull those two strands over the middle strands (red)
Do the same on the other side
Continue Braiding
Add another small strand of hair (leftmost purple) and add it to the left strand (purple)
Then pull those strands of hair over the middle (green strand)
Continue doing the same on both sides all the way down the ponytail
Pull and Pin
Once you complete the braid, pull the top of the braid over the ponytail.
Then using your bobby pin, pin the braid to the top of the ponytail.
