Rgb Recycled Bike Rim Light Lamp

Hi in this instructable you will learn how to make your very own RGB ring light/bike rim light. First of all find your self an old bike rim (i used a 26 inch rim but you could use whatever size you want.

Spray paint i used black you could use whatever color you´d like

Sand paper 150 grit

Alcohol

So the first thing you need to do is get a flathead screwdriver to loosen the spokes on the inner rim or do it the easy way and just cut the spokes in half and pull them out the end.

To prepare for paint grab a piece of sandpaper and lightly go over it and just make sure there is no rough spots.

First of all make sure you clean the bike rim with alcohol and LET DRY and then paint (i did three coats).

To apply the led strip peel off the adhesive cover and apply the led strip to the bike rim for the hook i just recycled a pop can tab and used a self tapper to secure it to the rim.
