Reusing Dry Clay

Tired of having dry clay and having to go to the store in need of more clay? Try my method to reuse it and SAVE A LOT OF MONEY!!!

I did this randomly one day, as I had A LOT of clay left that was dry.

*I HAD CRAYOLA CLAY- I DID NOT TRY IT WITH OTHER CLAY YET!!!!*

Fill up a bowl of water that will be big enough to store your dry clay into.

Place your dry clay into the water. Wait a day/night.

After waiting a day/night, your dry clay will become a brown-ish paste. I (personally) use the paste to repair dry clay masterpieces if they break. It bonds broken clay pieces really easily. The paste dries within an hour.

Drain all the water out of the paste so it can harden. Be careful to not spill the paste out!

To make this paste turn into clay, you must wait 2-3 (or more!) days. The clay will slowly become soft clay again. Sometimes, Th clay will not take 2-3 days and will be clay early or late. Try putting pencil, your finger or the end of your paint brush in it to see if it is hard or soft. If it is too soft, don not take it out. I did that once, and it was too soft, it did't come off of the newspaper! So do NOT take it out if it is too soft. If it is hardish soft, it is ready. If you take it out to late, it will become dry clay again, and you will have to do this process over again.

Finally, the paste is clay! Seal the clay and use it for whatever you want!!!
