Make the Bow for Your Fall Front Door Wreath

When decorating diy wreaths like this one, start off by attaching the bow first. For this wreath, we are drawing the eye down first, so you'll attach the bow to the bottom of our grapevine wreath.
To do this, layer a little sheer chocolate brown organza ribbon over burlap. This creates a rustic fall farmhouse look. Secure the shaped ribbon with floral wire and twist it shut on the back side.
Leave the extra length of twisted wire on the back of the bow to use for securing onto the wreath. If using a roll of floral wire, it’s a good idea to use a pair of wire cutters to snip the wire (leaving extra for attaching).
Start Adding Slender Berries and Branches First

To create the rest of this fun and rustic pumpkin wreath, start by grabbing the smaller, skinny vines and flowers first. They sorta get shaped, molded, or curled into the grapevine wreath form first.
They are the first elements that you’ll slip into the wreath as you start building up color and texture. Grab any thin berries and stems and slip those on first.
Layer Bigger Pieces on Your Pumpkin Wreath

Next, bring in some of the larger elements and layer those over the thinner pieces to start building up more drama and character in the wreath. These elements might include chunkier, bigger berries, fruits, bigger florals, and gourds. In our case, those would be the larger fall decorations like bigger pumpkin shapes and chocolate sunflowers.
Swipe Your Decorations in Glue If Desired and Position Them in the Wreath

Bend the wire at the bottom of your gourds, pumpkins, and flowers to give the decorations a little movement as you tuck them in. Adjust their position in the wreath as needed.
Swipe the base of the stem through a hot glue pot or use a dab of glue from a hot glue gun to attach, as desired.
If not, you'll have to option to remove this decor from the wreath, store it, and re-decorate the wreath form for a new project or seasonal occasion.
This simple fall wreath decor can easily transitioned into Halloween Decor and Thanksgiving decor with the swapping and exchanging of elements as desired.
Hang Your Festive Wreath and Enjoy

Hang in the patio area near bales of hay. Complement the wreath with a fun scarecrow to add playful drama to your autumn scenery at home, or simply use a festive front door wreath.
