The purpose of this project is to give a second chance to the containers you have at home. Giving them a characteristic touch with colors and other materials. Unlike conventional flowerpots, we chose to put a handle (rope) to make easier the transportation in case you want to change the planter's of place, or to hang it to make it look better.

Place the ice pick for one minute in the flame of the stove (1). Hold the plastic container and carefully perforate the surface at the height where you want to place the rope (2). Then perforate the base of the container (3) where the water will come out when watering the plants (3 holes or more).

Place tape on the top of the container (4) and cover the area that will not be painted. Clean the surface of the container (5) to remove dust so that the paint adheres correctly. Put newspaper around the area to be painted (6) to avoid staining, select the preferred paint and shake well before use (7). Place the can at a distance of 15 cm (minimum) from the container (8).

Wait for the paint to dry (6 minutes per coat, depending on the paint) and cover the painted area with tape (9). Put tape on the edge of a newspaper (10), leaving a space of the tape overhanging the sheet. Stick the tape with newspaper on the part of the container that you do not want to paint (11). Place the can 15 cm away (12), shake and start painting. Once the paint is dry, remove the tape (13).

Cut the rope to the desired length with scissors (14). Introduce the rope through the side hole (15). Once introduced, tie a knot with the rope (16). Once the knot is made (17), pull it out to verify that it is well made and that it does not come out of the hole (18). Repeat the same step on the opposite side.

If the hole in the container es bigger than you expected, make sure to make a double knot or put some tape over him, just to prevent the rope from slipping out of the container (tip).

PLACE

Finally, select the place that you want for the hanging planters, could be inside the house or the garden.
