Have you ever brought home some right shite chinese food? Was it barely edible in the first place? Do you need to stretch the left overs because you're a flat broke college student?

We're here to help you. We're going to show you how to stretch that junk a little further and maybe improve it a little.

Ingredients

1. Leftover Lo-mein

2. Frozen brocolli

3. Garlic

4. Olive oil

5. Crushed red pepper flakes

You're going to need to use the lounge microwave and also either a stove or a contraband hot plate. We won't tell anyone you're hiding it under your loft bed. Trust us.

Prep

This is a pretty simple prep step -- only two steps! At the college my ladyfriend went to (RIT Tigers represent!!!) they had a few dining hall locations that also sold groceries (fresh produce and fruits, frozen meats, frozen veggies, and frozen prepared entrees). You could also easily grab both of these ingredients from a salad bar at any dining hall location that has one.

Chop up some garlic, and defrost some broccoli in the microwave. Drain the water from the broccoli.

Sauté

Get out a frying pan and heat it up over medium heat on your contraband hot plate -- or befriend an upperclassman and get into their apartment. Add some olive oil to the pan. Once the oil is hot, add your garlic and a few good shakes of crushed red pepper flakes. Let this sauté for a couple minutes until the garlic is fragrant and softened. Then, add the defrosted broccoli to the pan.

Add Ze Lo Mein!!!

Once your broccoli is sautéed through, add ze noodles! Continue to sauté until the lo mein is warmed all the way through -- a little crunch never hurt anyone!

Plate, and enjoy! Feel free to add your choice of condiment, whether it be soy sauce or sriracha.

As avid lovers of Chinese takeout, we wish you well on your journey to improve your lackluster leftovers.
