Repurpose Your Unloved, Broken Crayons

This project is great for reusing old crayons that you might have lying around or forgotten. With just three things you can make a vast amount of doohickeys. This project is great for young kids or if your into sculpting.

Step 2: Oven

First preheat the oven to 200 degrees (fahrenheit).

When the timer is done add the crayons into the silicon mold.

Then put it inside the oven.

Step 3: Chill Out

You should stop the oven heat when the crayons are fully melted.

Then you have to leave it to cool, I just left it inside the oven overnight and in the morning it was cool

Another way to cool the crayons is to put it in the fridge. *CAUTION THE MOLD WILL BE HOT*

Step 4: Slicing and Dicing

Take out the crayon brick by "popping" it out of the mold

Then cut the "brick" in half. I did this with a crowbar but, a easier way to do it is to cut it when it is still hot in the inside.

Step 5: Carving

The final step is to make the crayon brick into a crayon shape.

This can be done by using a X-Acto or a box cutting knife.

You can carve it in to any shape you want as I only made it to a crayon.

You could make it into a car, plane, pencil, mini house, a hippo, or even a picture of yourself.

The possibilities are endless.
