How to Replace the Battery Inside a Camera Battery.

I got a camera at a garage sale but the battery only lasts about 2 minutes. I was going to get a new battery for it when I realized that I could open up the battery pack and take out the old battery and replace it with another battery that I had. Although the battery said do not disassemble all I had to do was cut the label that has the warnings on it and it opened up without cutting the battery. Do this at your own risk though. I am not responsible if the battery blows up. (It probably won't though.)

1. Dead (Or almost dead) camera battery.
2. Replacement battery (I used a drone battery.)
3. Hobby knife.
4. Double sided mounting tape.
5. Clear tape.
6. Soldering iron
7. Solder.

All you have to do is cut the label opposite of the big side that has the pins. When I opened it up the battery was puffy which is why it didn't last long. When you are taking the battery out there will be some adhesive attaching the battery to the box so you'll have to pry the battery of of it. Be careful not to puncture the battery. Once the battery is out, cut the wires that are attaching the battery to the PCB.

Cut the connector of the new battery and solder the battery wires to the PCB.

Use the double sided mounting tape to attach the battery to the case then put the PCB back in its place. Then use the clear tape to tape the cover back on. After that you're done. Enjoy!
