The ground pin on this extension broke off. No way I'm gonna let the rest of this extension chord end up in the garbage!

Here is how I fixed it.

The New Plug.

This new plug will be the salvation of the chord!

Removing the Defective Plug.

OK yeah this is the easiest step of all. Cut! Then dispose.

Prepping the Wires.

Half inch of insulation off and all 3 wires are ready. The middle is ground. The others are live and neutral.

Installing the New Plug.

Using a Phillips head screwdriver I opened the new plug. Using my multimeter I identified the live wire and connected it to the corresponding plug lug.

Completion.

Once the plug was reassembled, the extension chord is now ready for use!
