I will show how to repair a remote control button that is not responding.
This usually happens to the most used buttons such as power on/off or sound adjust buttons.
Disassemble the Remote Control

First disassemble the remote control.
Now is the time to clean* it if you like.
(* See notes at the end)
We will focus on the rubber part with the buttons.
Tinfoil Small Circles

Use the perforator (or scissors) to cut small round pieces of tinfoil.
Glue One Piece to the Button That Is Not Responding.

Use one small piece of tinfoil and glue it in place as shown in the picture.
Make sure the glue dries completely. Assemble again. Finished.
Do a test now. It should be ok.

Most of the time thorough cleaning of all parts is enough to make it function properly.
Keeps germs away as well. ;)
Plain soap water and complete drying (to avoid water damage or short circuit).
