Even if your careful, from time to time it happens - tiny bits of eggshell get into your eggs. You could just leave them there and have a little extra calcium carbonate in your diet, but not everyone enjoys a sandy crunch in their fluffy soufflé. A spoon could work, or you could fish around with your fingers, but those little pieces can be evasive!

You'll Need. . .
  • One (or more) egg
  • A bowl of some sort
  • A flat surface

How To
  1. Position the egg in your hand so your fingers are near the two poles
  2. Gently, but with some force, tap your egg against the flat surface (cracking eggs on a flat surface will help reduce the odds of getting shell in your eggs, but it still can happen)
  3. Carefully separate the egg and plop the insides into the bowl
  4. Realize that despite your best efforts, there are bits of shell still in your eggy goodness
  5. Using one half of the shell, scoop out those bits - they'll come right out without a chase!
