Reindeer Candy Canes

This is a craft that we have been making in my family since as far back as I can remember.  They are really cute and simple and kids love to make them.

First, you will need to get two candy canes of whatever size you want to make your reindeer.  Turn them opposing directions and use hot glue to attach the canes together.

Now, you will need to add brown yarn to the candy cane.  Start by using hot glue to attach a piece of yarn long ways on the back of the candy cane.  Once this dries, begin to wrap the candy cane and continue until you have wrapped it to the height that you want for your reindeer.  When it is wrapped completely, you will use a little bit of hot glue to attach the yarn on the back of the candy cane.

To finish up your reindeer, you are ready to add the details.  You will hot glue some google eyes, a pom pom ball for the nose and a ribbon, bow or whatever you would like to spruce up your reindeer. 

You could also add some ribbon to hang this as an ornament if you would like.
