Rehabilitative Fitness
The Creation of Rehabilitative Fitness
This model was created to participate in James Develin's student design challenge. This design is what I visualized a flexible gym to appear as. This model includes an area for yoga, stability balls, dumbbell training, treadmills, and indoor exercise bikes. There is also a field of grass and a pool for people who enjoy doing extracurricular activities outdoor. This model contains a locker room for both female and male. It also incorporates a room where trained orthopedic specialists, sport psychologists, and other doctors help restore injured athletes and non-athletes physical and mental health. For my composition, I focused on activities that people would enjoy and benefit their health.

Constructing the Layout
I wanted the layout of my design to have enough space for it to include activities that help both your physical and mental health. When I finally concluded in how this flexible gym would look like, it turned out like this. The reception/front desk is near the entrance for people to sign in when they enter. The indoor gym is one of the first things individuals would see when they enter. The locker rooms are right next to the reception desk. The room where doctors would help restore people's health is right in front of the locker rooms. In between the locker rooms and rehabilitation room is an entrance to where the pool and field is located. There are also multiple windows for sunlight or moonlight to enter except in the locker rooms. I created the windows from squares and the glass with transparent squares. The door was created by the same process as the windows except I added a puller to represent a doorknob. The walls and the rooftop were built with squares, except I rotated the rooftop for it to look tilted and the blue walls are a bit of decor to the building's plain white. It also is made of different sizes for it cover up the gap between the white walls and the rooftop.
Equipment
To create the equipment for the gym, I used the multipoint cylinder to create the dumbbells. I created the weight plates of the dumbbells from a cylinder, tube, and numbers. The handles were made from cylinders of different sizes. I designed the weight bench from squares and cylinders, positioning some of the shapes in different angles and I produced the padding with squares as well. I built the treadmill using squares and cylinders, I positioned some of the shapes in different angles as well, while envisioning how it looks like. To manufacture the exercise bikes, I used circular trapezoids to make the seat and base of the machine. I used meta capsules to make the pedals. I grouped squares and cylinders to make some of the parts sharper for it to look like an actual exercise bike. I invented the yoga mats from squares and the stability balls were made from spheres.
Outdoor Pool and Field
The field is made of a square stretched into a rectangle. The pool is also made of a square stretched into a rectangle, the cement around the pool went through the same process except I grouped a hole with it, so it would outline the pool's edges. The short walls surrounding the field and pool were created from squares stretched and resized.
Details
Finally, I added a bit of detail like water bottles and towels. The towels would be of use when they are swimming in the pool or wiping their sweat after working out or it can be of any other use. The water would keep them hydrated which is important in helping injured and non-injured individuals stay healthy.
