Dirty Tips, Bad Results.
If you are pretty lazy while using your solder iron (like me) you will have certainly seen that usually the tip become covered of oxide and scaling. These hateful layers prevent the heat to spread correctly and the less the tip is clean the more is difficult to use the solder. With this tutorial you will make it as good as new.
Screwdriver
Use a screwdriver to unscrew the bolt that holds the tip.
POWER DRILL
It should be easy enough to remove the tip with your fingersTake a drill and mount the tip on it, then use some sandpaper and start the process.
Sand Paper
Clean as best as you can, It's should be easy.
Belt Sander
To speed up the whole thing I use a belt sander. You can also create a bevel to make have contact surface while soldering.
You've Done.
Once you've finished put the the tip and the screws back on and you've done.
EASY AND EFFECTIVE
It's so easy and effective.
