Redneck Napkin Rings
No formal redneck function (shotgun wedding, pig pickin, hunting banquet) is complete without these redneck napkin rings.
What You Will Need
You will need a shotgun shell hull (12 gauge works best), hacksaw or rotating cutter, pencil or dowel rod, and a screwdriver (not pictured). And of course the redneck napkin, a paper towel.
Begin with a used shotgun shell hull, washed of course. These can be saved as they are used to bag the game served at the feast.
Making the Cut
Use the hacksaw to remove the top of the shell, just below the lip.
Or if you prefer power tools, use a rotary cutting tool to remove the top of the shell. Be careful and wear your safety glasses.
The top will still be attached by the plastic piece inside the shell. Using a screw driver, or dowel rod, drive the top of the shell off of the remaining brass ring.
This is the top of the hull removed.
Using the pencil, or small dowel rod, roll the paper towel around the pencil.
Finished Product
