Recycling Your Candy!
I remember when my parents bought my candy, you've probably heard that some dentists buy candy from kids for $1/pound but my parents paid me $2/pound! I ended up with an extra $10 in my pocket and I didn't consume too many calories. It was awesome! Anyways, in this instructable, I'll show you how to make a Reeses peanut butter cup with M&M's on top. It's very delicious! Here's a recipe to "recycle" your candy!
Gather Your Materials
First, you have to gather all your materials. For two peanut butter cups we used:
Food materials:
1. Two (2) peanut butter cups
2. One half (1/2) a tablespoon of peanut butter
3. Two (2) packages of peanut M&M's
4. One (1) package regular M&M's
Non-food materials:
5. Plate (saucer)
6. Knife (butter knife)
7. Cutting board
Spread and Crush
Next, you have to unwrap your peanut butter cups and M&M's. Dump all the M&M's (peanut and regular) onto the plate. Then, you must crush your M&M's with the knife (we do this first, so that we don't have a peanut butter covered knife for crushing) using the side of the knife, press down and crush your M&M's. They don't have to be completely crushed. Just fairly crushed. After that, get 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter and spread it on the Reeses peanut butter cups.
Dip and Turn
Next, you can either dip the peanut butter cup in the crushed M&M's peanut butter side down. Then, twist and turn it, to thoroughly coat the top in M&M's. After, remove the wrapper from the peanut butter cup (easier to eat and the wrapper starts to fall off at this point anyways).
Time to Serve!
Serves 1-2 (depending on how many you want)! (makes 2 Reeses peanut butter cups).
Serve on a white plate for best effect (because the colors will pop)! I made these for my dad and he LOVED them. He loves Reeses peanut butter cups and M&M's so it was the perfect combination for him.
