Recycled Materials XMas Tree

Decorating your home for next XMas can be easy with recycled materials.

This tree is easy and cheap to create and the final result looks sophisticated and elegant. Nobody will believe it!

I used mini plastic spoons I had kept for years and some beads that can be the ones you get as remnant from your jeweler projects.

Gather Your Materials

  • Styrofoam cone
  • Mini plastic spoons
  • Mixed beads
  • One ornament star
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Gold spray paint

Glue Spoons in Cone Starting From the Bottom

Use hot glue gun to add spoons in the cone. Start from bottom to top.

Continue Adding Layers, From Bottom to Top

Add layer all to the top ensuring it looks symmetrical.

Cut Half of the Spoon Handle

For the top layers, cut half of the spoon handle and glue to cone

Cut All the Spoon Handle

For the last layer, cut all the handle. Glue spoon to cone.

Paint in Gold

Paint spoon tree with spray paint in the color you like. I particularly love how it looks in gold. Super elegant!

Glue Star

Remove the top of the star ornament and glue in the top of the tree.

Add Beads

Glue mixed beads (I used red and gold ones) all over the tree. Use hot glue gun.

Decorate
