Four out of 10 lights remained after a catastrophic fall after the lights were hung. I made a mold out of one of them using Smooth On Mold Max and then cast the light with a mixture of Smooth On Crystal Clear and pigments. The box is just stained plywood and the cables and wiring had to be reworked, but were basically the same materials that came with the light. The hardest part was learning that large cones don't like coming out of a single mold. I should have built a better mold box and slit the mold vertically, but I was concerned about there being an ugly seam. It was messy and very time consuming, but the mold process was no different than anything else. The paper balls were my beautiful daughter's idea.
