Razor Ripstik LED's

Here's a cool idea if you like to skate at night.

What you will need:

two 3v LED's
one on/off switch
two AAA battery holder's
A philips and a flat head type screw driver plus alan key
A Dremel or a Chisel.
You'll need drill and some wiring at about 4ft long should be enough. 14 to 18 gauge will do fine.

Cost: about $15 U.S.
Time: 1 hour and 20 minutes

And here's what the torsion looks like taken apart.
Its fairly simple to unscrew, it's just two regular hex nuts that holds the spring together.

first of all just start hacking away at the bottom right corner of the front portion of the Ripstick. I used a common chisel but you probably might want to use a Dremel type tool as it will cut more precisely and clean. I also want you to know that the areas that I choose to cut should not in any way comprimse the integrity of the board.

this is what happens when you place the swicth a little to close.....Well I got lucky that it worked but if I could do it again I would move it down slightly.

Well it's basicly laid out for you. When you look under the board by the front wheel there is a circle. Drill it out right in the center and led should look like it belongs there after your done. NOTE: Led holders will give a more proffesional appearance.

So just like the switch, now just hack away at the top right corner of the front portion of the Ripstick.

So here's it completely in and glued down.

OK so lets start on the cuts for the wiring to fit.
just a small cut should be good enough to fit.

the wires should be fed through here.....

Just pass the two wires from the back in through the torsion tube.

This time the hole will be cut according to the circle located on the inside of the board.

So simply connect two wires to the led and follow it through to the two tiny holes found by the end of the torsion bars housing.

It should look something like this when your done.

The front portion of the Ripstick does not have any holes for the wires to feed through so just drill and make some......

I'm going to tell you that if you have got this far then all this should just be pretty straight forward and easy.
