Raspberry MusicPlayer by RuneAudio With 15.6" Touch-Display

Building of my new RuneAudio HiFi MusicPlayer with custom Aluminuim-Frontpanel.
First Steps: Preparation

At first i bought a Raspberry Pi 3B, an Justboom Digi HAT, a Housing and got it running together with my ASUS 15.6" Touch Screen.
Now it must by a bit nicer for the Living-Room and i want to extend my selfmade HiFi-Rack.
I bought 1/2" Plywood, much more Things from eBay, build my Wiring-Harness for the Power-Switch an the Power-LED and than i designed a Aluminium Front-Panel for everything.
Now i have to wait for the finished Front-Panel for the next steps in the next days.
Delivery of the Front-Panel

Today the Front-Panel was delivered by UPS. So the work can begin in the next days if there's any time.
While waiting for the Panel i've fixed the Zoom-Level for RuneAudio, so the display is better used without much free Space.
Woodworking-Time the Complete Saturday

Today was Woodworking-Time. I build the case with a 22.5° Angle of the Front-Plate as a compromise to view the Screen from the Sitting-Position and use the Touchscreen while standing in front of the Player.
The Case is made of 1/2" Plywood, glued and screwed, then sanded and primered.
The dimensions are:
Wide: 50 cm | 19.7"
Height: 33 cm | 13.0"
Bottom-Depth: 35 cm | 13.8"
Tomorrow i will sand it again and then will put a black color on it to assemble it in the next days.
Building Fine-Adjustment for the LCD

It's not easy to adjust the LCD right in the Opening of the Front-Panel. So i decided to build-in M4 Inserts around the LCD and take 8 Screws to do the Alignment of the LCD.
Building the Holder for the LCD.

Now the LCD is fixed to all sides and perfectly aligned behind the Front-Panel. This Step is to fix the LCD in this Position. I don't wanted to use Hotglue for the new LCD an would be able to remove it later if needed. So first i took a piece of plywood and mounted it to the VESA-Holes. It has a Center hole for fixing the threaded Rod with a rounded Nut. Then i screwed and glued 2 Brackets at the sides to hold an Alu-Tube with an M8-Threaded-Rod.
Now the LCD can securely be pressed to the Front-Panel.
Time to Be Happy With the Result of This Project.

System is running and i am happy that this Project is finished.
