Rajasthani Potli (Tote Bag)

I have made this project because resemble the Rajasthani culture. tote bag has the potential to become part of the daily routine.The bags are made of recycled materials that are tough, flexible, and can carry things.The material that’s used in this guaranteed durability, and the affordability of eco-friendly tote bags while also having the potential to improve the environment one day.If we buying all the new material ,the project will cost of 120 rupees.

Supplies

1. scissors

2. Cloth ( we can also use the old cloth )

3. Lace or we can also take old saree lace

4 zip

5.Black strips of cloth

6. Needle and thread

Let's Get Started:-

In first step we have to cut both the sides with equal length in shape of square.

Folding Into a Square:-

After cutting in form of square fold it in the form of rectangle like this as shown in the picture .

Marking It:-

Now cut the corner of the rectangle in 1.5×1.5 inches (4×4 cm).

Cutting Into Small Corners:-

After cutting it in the corner of both the sides, it will look like this as seen in the picture.

Stitching the Lace

Now open the cloth and start placing the old saree lace on the Cloth.

Start stitching on the sewing machine or with the thread and needles.

Attaching Zip

After stitching now also attach the zip with the cloth

Finally Stitch

Now just like this as shown in picture we have to fold the corners and stitch them.

After so much cutting and stitching finally the Rajasthani Potli ( Tote bag )is ready.
