Rainbow Writing: Spelling Practice

step0.png

Rainbow Writing is a fun way to practice your spelling words. This instructable will show you how.

Supplies

You will need:

  • A pencil or pen
  • A sheet of paper (because your bedroom wall will make people angry)
  • Your 3 favorite colors of crayon, marker, or colored pencil

step1.png

Say the word. Write the word in pen or pencil. Say each letter out loud as you write it. Then, say the word again.

Example:

Say: "Liked, L-I-K-E-D, Liked" as you write.

step2.png

Say the word. Trace over the word with a crayon. Say each letter out loud as you trace it. Then, say the word again.

Repeat Step 3 with your other two favorite crayons.

Wait a Minute!

Wait a minute I did something wrong! Can you see what it is? I used an uppercase letter "L." Liked isn't a proper noun and it's not at the beginning of a sentence. Be careful to use the correct case when you practice, so your teacher doesn't mark it wrong on your test.
