What you'll need:
Pint glass jars with lids
Straws and spoons
White wine 1 bottle, I used vino verde, could also use Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, etc.
Sweet fruit juice for sweetening - white grape, pineapple or Apple recommended, or the syrup from canned fruit
At least one fruit or handful of fruit (grapes, blueberries, etc.) of each color
Red fruit
Orange fruit
Yellow fruit
Green fruit
Blue/ purple fruit
Optional: additional liquids for flavor- could use rum for a Caribbean flair, or ginger ale/ginger beer to make your sangria fizzy

Cut Up Fruit Into Bite Size
Make your fruit easy to eat after the drinking is all done.
You probably need about 1/4 to 1/2 cup for each color layer per jar.
You probably need about 1/4 to 1/2 cup for each color layer per jar.
Layer Your Fruit
Start with purple/blue and then add your fruit in reverse rainbow order. Add the fruit in loosely, don't pack it in, because you want plenty of room for wine. Fill until about 1/2 inch from the top.
Add Your Liquids
If you like sweet sangria pour in about 1/4 cup of sweet fruit juice to each of your jars. Then pour in your wine until the liquid is just to the top of the jar. It should cover all the fruit. Seal the jar and let it sit in the fridge for one hour or overnight. This will help develop the flavor of your sangria.
Party
Serve your sangria chilled right in the jars. Just add a straw (and maybe some spoons so people can eat the fruit).
