Rainbow Road- a MARIO Kart Diorama
As little kids, my little brother and I always loved to play MARIO Kart. Our favorite track was Rainbow Road since we were obsessed with the rainbow and galaxy color scheme. Feeling nostalgic and still enamored by the layout of the level, I decided to make my own miniature diorama of Rainbow Road.

Paint the Box Background
First, I painted the back of the box black. Since I did not have enough black paint, I blended it with other hues such as blue, purple, and brown, which create a nice effect. Then, I spread some shimmer paint (diluted with water) over the background for a starry effect. To complete the galaxy effect, I applied some white paint unto a dry toothbrush and rubbed the bristled to splatter more stars onto the background.
Paint the Track
Next, I painted the track the colors of the rainbow. It was a bit difficult to blend the colors, but I found that smudging it with your fingertip worked best.
Attach the Final Componets
Lastly, I attached the final components. I thought that it would be cool to have the rainbow track coming out of the background, so I placed the track at an angle and held it up with cardboard supports. Then, I added in the bedazzled planets in the background. After that, I placed the fairy lights in, which lit up the diorama better and added to the galaxy effect. And finally, of course, I place in the Mario and Luigi figurines.
