Looking through discarded jewelry; I found a wooden ring and thought to myself, " what could I create with this?"And so another project begins...
Supplies
• wooden ring - 5mm thick ring, 16mm diameter opening.
• rhinestones that fit the wood ring, salvaged from broken jewelry ( any color and shape that you have or want to use).
• mini aurora borealis rhinestones 1.2mm size
• hoop screw - 3mm hole
• 1 jewelry link
• 2 jewelry pliers ( to open and close the jewelry link with)
• necklace chord or chain
• 1 tack or push pin ( to start the hole in the wooden ring for the hoop screw).
• 2 part epoxy resin ( enough to fill the opening of the ring)
• 1 toothpick ( to mix the epoxy and application)
• a cap or small throw away container to mix the epoxy.
• plastic lid ( I used a yogurt lid, for placing the ring on for epoxy application)
• petroleum jelly ( to place on the lid where the ring will be set for when applying epoxy).

And then twist or screw the hoop screw into the start hole on the wooden ring. Screwing the hoop screw all the way in ( my wooden ring cracked a little at this point, but the epoxy resin helped hold it together in the end).

Mine leaked very tiny bit of epoxy...with your fingers gently break off any little bit of epoxy that may have leaked out; by moving the leaked epoxy bits back and forth until they break off.

Then hold the link steady with one of the pliers while you move your other hand and pliers towards you to close the link at the separation point.
