Rainbow Marble Nail Art: Materials
Materials:
- Desired nail polish colors
- A disposable cup (I used a paper cup)
- A toothpick
- A couple Q-tips
- Nail Polish Remover
The first thing you need to do for rainbow marble nail art is to choose your desired colors. In this case, I chose the colors of the rainbow. The toothpick will be used to create your design and the Q-tip will be use to scrape up the extra nail polish in the cup and around your finger. You will also need to fill up you cup 3/4 of the way with warm/room temperature water.
Creating the Design
To create the design, take your nail polish and drop one drop of each color into the cup. As you can see in the picture, each drop spreads.
*NOTE: You must do this process very quickly or else the thin layer of nail polish that spread, with dry and will not let the other drops of nail polish spread.*
*TIP: When the nail polish drops from the brush into the water, do not hold it up high or else the drop will go to the bottom of the cup. What you want to do is make sure the nail polish drop drops just above the surface of the water in the middle, to that it spreads evenly.*
Once you have finished this process, take you toothpick and start drawing line from in to out or out to in. As you can see, for the design, I did from in to out. But of course, you can do whatever you want.
Dipping Your Finger
For the 2nd step, you need to dip your finger diagonally into the cup of water. Make sure to do this slowly. Depending on the size of your design, you can dip in as many fingers. Before taking out your finger, use the Q-tip to scrape up the extra nail polish that is still on the surface of the water and around your finger. This makes sure you wont mess up your design. Now you can slowly pull your finger out of the water.
Removing Nail Polish
After dipping your finger into the cup and removing it, you will probably see that there is nail polish all around that part of the finger that you dipped. No worries! Just take another Q-tip and nail polish remover and wipe off the extra polish. I hope that this was helpful for you. Enjoy and keep styling!
