To me rainbows are the prettiest thing out there. So, when I saw there was a fashion contest, this project immediately come to mind. This project is very easy, and it only took me about 30 minutes to make!

Supplies

1 Belt, a size that fits you [ For this project I used a women's large ]

A pair of scissors

A hot glue gun, with glue sticks [ Or strong super glue ]

1 1/2 Yards of your choice of fabric [ About an inch in width ]

3 Yards of any kind/color of trim [ I used gold braided trim ]

All of these items can be found at a craft store or online.

Measuring Out Your Fabric

After gathering all of your supplies, take your fabric and measure it out the length of your belt, right where the seam starts by the belt buckle and to the very end of the belt. You have to be very careful if you're using braided trim, because it can fray very easily, when measuring it on your belt. Like in the picture, you only want the trim about half an inch over the seam, so you can have extra trim for tying in the next step.

Tying Knots

After measuring the trim, tie a knot at both ends of it.

Cut off any remaining string, after you tie the knot, as shown in the picture.

Gluing Your Fabric and Trim

First lay down your hot glue or super glue halfway down your belt, quickly line up your fabric over the hot glue, before it dries. Then do the other half, but try to go around all the holes in the belt, with the hot glue. [ Don't worry about covering the holes with the fabric ] Then lay down the trim right beside the fabric.

Cut off any remaining fabric.

Poking Holes

After letting your hot glue dry for 10-15 minutes < Two hours for super glue> Flip your belt over and take a small sharp screw driver [ One that is smaller then the holes in your belt ]. Poke it through the hole, but hold onto your fabric, so it doesn't rip off your belt. Then get a bigger screw driver, and find that smaller hole you made with the smaller screw driver, so your hole is as big as the hole in your belt.

Finishing Up

Remove any excess glue that may be on the sides of the belt.

And enjoy your beautiful belt. It goes well with a white shirt and jeans!
