Rainbow Dragon

I really like making these paper dragons and this time, I decided to make (another) one in the colors of the rainbow. It's an easy project where you don't need to measure.
Supplies
- 5 sheets of heavy-weight paper
- pencil
- felted pens or crayons
- scissors
- glue
- ruler
Jaws

Fold one sheet of heavy-weight paper on half and draw a triangle. The sides should be much longer than the base. The base has to be as wide as your hand or wider. Now draw another triangle around it, it should be at least 1,5 cm/0.5 in larger on each side. This larger triangle will have to tip, draw the top of the triangle as if you had cut off the tip of the triangle. Draw a line from the tip of the smaller triangle to the center of the line at the top of the larger triangle. This will be the upper jaw.
Repeat the same steps with another sheet of paper, only this time, the triangles should be smaller. This will be the lower jaw.
Cut the triangles out. Thanks to having folded the sheets, you'll cut two triangles (with cropped tip) at a time.
Fold all lines of the triangles. You have two triangles without lines, just place them under the triangles with lines and fold the pairs together.
Apply glue to one folded side and glue two sides of two jaw pieces together. Make sure you are gluing lower jaw piece to lower jaw piece and the same for the upper jaw.
Now apply glue to the other folded side and glue together the other side of each jaw.
Now you have a kind of two triangular boxes with one open side. Don't glue the tips.
Head

Place each jaw with its long side on another sheet of paper and trace around it.
Using the traced jaw as a base, draw any decoration for the lower jaw and a head for the upper jaw. You will need two pieces of each, four in total. I decided to make rainbow-colored saliva for the lower jaw and stars for the head.
Color and cut out all 4 pieces.
Apply glue to all sides of the two jaws. Glue the lower jaw decoration to the lower jaw sides and the head to the upper jaw sides. The head stays open for now.
Connect

Cut out a small rectangle from heavy-weight paper. Apply glue to a half of one side and place it inside the upper jaw at the bottom.
Place the lower jaw under the upper jaw. Apply glue to the other half of the rectangle and fold it into the lower jaw. As the glue dries, the two jaws will be connected.
Horns and Tongue

Trace two horns on another sheet of paper. They can be identical or different.
Color them from both sides with rainbow colors. I recommend coloring them before cutting them out. You can place the horn colored from one side on the window and trace the contours on the other side.
Cut the horns out.
Draw, color and cut out also the tongue and glue it inside the mouth on the lower jaw.
Your dragon is done, you can make several and have a theatre play!
