ROCK ART for the Kids: Halloween Cat & Moon

Halloween rock art using a template for the older kids.

Print the template to match the size of the rock you are using.

You will need black sharpie pens with a fine tip, and a super fine tip.

Scissors to cut template out.

Using spray paint, paint the rock a cream or white colour and let it dry.

Hasten the process by using a hairdryer if you have one.

Cut the template out as shown.

Place the cat and fence outline on the rock.

Fill the body of the cat using short strokes with the pen.

This will give a fur-like texture.

Place the moon in position and outline it.

Thicken the outline on the fence.

Use a finer-tipped Sharpie pen and add wood patterns onto the fence.

Smudge a little with your finger.

Add as much detail as you want.

Then, finally, draw in the cat's whiskers.

You can be as creative as you want with it.

Just do black outlines, or fill as I have done.
