Quirky Headphone Hanger From Junked Action Figure

The Backstory

Working at home lately, I've become quite attached to my computer headphones, but I do take them off at times and I've been needing a headphone hanger. Recently I was tempted to throw out an old kids meal toy and inspiration struck, the result is this quirky headphone hanger...here's how it was done!

• Action Figure with strong (obviously) arms
• Scrap metal to connect arms
• 2 Screws
• Doublestick tape
• Electric tape
• Saw (a hacksaw is fine, a box knife may work)
• Drill
• Tinsnips
• Scissors
• Clamps (optional)

1. Saw: Here's our unworthy action figure, who quickly succumbed to the mighty hacksaw. A few clamps came in handy for holding the little guy down.
2. Side note: I thought I'd open this guy to remove the arms and referred to these Instructables: the Magic Screwdriver and Hack a Happy Meal Minion however this action figure was glued really well and it wasn't worth the effort.
3. Fail: I quickly found that double-stick tape was not strong enough to hold up my headphones...so more making was required...

1. Connect arms: A piece of scrap metal worked well to combine the forces of these two super arms. I simply drilled a hole in each end and bent it to fit the width of the monitor.
2. Mount: I mounted the headphone holder with double-stick tape under the metal and electrical tape over it.
3. Bonus feature: What to do with the cord when not plugged in to these wireless headphones? I simply drilled a hole in one of the hands, and extended it into a slot creating a cord holder!
