Hello bacon and cheese lovers, here's a quick and extremely tasty meal that takes 15 minutes to prepare, cook and eat (and do the hand dish washing)! I discovered grilled cheese in america and really enjoy it but felt like it could benefit from a couple additions, that is meat and red peppers.

DISCLAIMER : A lot of butter is used in the making of this meal. It will therefore be delicious.

Tools and Materials

Ingredients

Some kind of sliced bread - I used wholegrain with a lot of seeds inside, it's really a plus in this recipe for me!

Cheese you like - I used cheddar because I'm in England and it is good here

Bacon - I mixed it with pancetta

Butter - A lot

Salt, pepper, spices to your taste - I added Tabasco and ground smoked dried chillies & garlic

Olive oil

Salad and a dressing (Very optional. Use the salad with caution, it'll make you feel healthy.)

Utensils

A pan & spatula

Fork and plate optional

Precook the bacon in a little bit of hot olive oil on high heat until desired crispiness is reached. Reserve.

Put cheese, salt, pepper, butter and spices on one of the slices of bread, add the bacon, some butter and close.

Put butter on the outside.

Melt butter in the same pan you cooked the bacon in.

Add the sandwich when the butter is drizzly and cook on middle to high heat for approximately 3 mins on each side or until you reach the colour you want (see picture for my preferred cooking). I like pressing it a little when cooking it makes it more compact and better.

If the cheese doesn't melt enough and the bread too much, use lower heat for longer. Don't forget to add butter.

I added a salad on the side with a little bit of balsamic glaze to make it look fancy but it's really not what we are after here
