Today am sharing the pattern for this Quick and Easy Crochet Easter Bunny Applique. The pattern works up really quick and you can easily make a couple of them in no time at all. These Bunny Appliques are great for using up your scarp yarn. Along with decoration , they will also make lovely gifts for your loved ones because handmade gifts do really show that they were made with love.

Notes:-

For this whole Pattern, the Starting Chain 2 is not counted as a stitch. It is Just to bring the yarn to a working height. Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Round 1:-

Start with a Magic Circle.

12 Double Crochets in the circle.

Pull the yarn end to close the gap.

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

12 Stitches.

Round 2:-

Start with Chain 2.

1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.

1 Front Post Double Crochet in the same stitch.

Repeat(1DC,1FPDC in same stitch)

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

24 Stitches

Round 3:-

Chain 2.

2 Double Crochets in the same stitch.

*Chain 6.

1 Single Crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook.

1 Single Crochet each in the remaining stitches.

Make a slip stitch on the bottom stitch(i.e. on top of the 2nd Double Crochet. Insert your hook into both the loops to make it more neat)

1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.* - that's the First Bunny Ear made.

1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.

Repeat from * to * for the making the second ear.

2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.

Chain 2 and Make a slip stitch in the same stitch.

Round 4:-

1 Half Double Crochet , 1 Slip stitch in the same stitch.

Repeat((1HDC, 1SL)- both in same stitch).

Slip stitch at the end and weave off.

Bunny Tail:-

Start with a Magic Circle.

Chain 2.

1 Double Crochet Cluster

Chain 2

1 Single Crochet.

Repeat(Ch 2, 1 DC Cluster, Ch2 , 1 SC) untill you have 5 petals.

Pull the yarn end to close the Magic Circle and weave off.

To Make a Double Crochet Cluster Stitch:-

  1. Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  2. Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
  3. Continue with the first part of Double Crochet stitch untill you have 4 loops on the hook.
  4. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.
  5. Chain 1.

Using a Yarn Needle , sew the Bunny tail on the Applique.

Weave off Yarn ends.
