Quick and Easy Cardboard Rc Car Ramp
This is an awesome RC car ramp. It is made out of cardboard and only takes about 20 minutes to make. It can be made with any sized box.
Materials and Tools
The materials needed for this project:
- Any sized cardboard box.
- Masking tape.
The tools needed for this project:
- Scissors or a box cutter( I recommend using both).
- Pencil
- A straight edge like a ruler.
Taping the Box Closed
In this step, you will tape the open side of your box closed.
- First, you will rotate the box until the open side is facing up.
- Secondly, you will close the two shorter flaps in and then the two longer ones.
- Thirdly, you will unroll a piece of tape that is 2 to 3 inches (or about 5 to 8 cm) longer than the longest side of your box and cut it using scissors or a box cutter (I HIGHLY recommend using scissors).
- Tip: You can use a small piece of tape to keep the box shut temporarily.
- Lastly, you will take the piece of tape and you will stick it onto your box from one side to the other.
Making Our First Cuts
In this step, we will make our first cuts. Always make sure to be careful while using sharp objects.
- First, you will lay the box on its side.
- Secondly, you will take your ruler and place it on the box from the top right corner to the bottom left corner. You will then draw a line where the ruler is using your pencil.
- Thirdly, you will repeat step 2. but this time placing the ruler from the top left corner to the bottom right corner.
- Lastly, you will cut along these lines.
the Final Touches
When you complete this project you will have two ramps that should be identical. To improve your chances of not missing the ramp you can put the two ramps you made next to each other. Additionally, you could paint your ramp. I do not suggest painting your ramp because they get very dirty especially if you're using your RC car on loose dirt and not on grass or pavement.
