This droid series is designed for surveillance/reconnaissance, especially designed for sandy environments. They work in groups of five where four of them go off in cardinal directions with one remaining with the user. Once the four have gotten to their specified position a set distance from the central droid they burry themselves with only their antenna sticking above the sand. They use their antenna to pick up on movement and their main lens for recording. Once any one of the four sense any disturbance they slowly raise up to see and send their recordings to the central droid. The central droid then patches these images together to project with the secondary lens a 3D map for the user. The legs of these droids are also capable of pulling in for storage.

I designed this with inspiration from some current droids, R2 for the Eye and Projector and the Pit droids for some shape language, while also trying to make it new. I was inspired by the Sand Dollar and the way it buries itself in sand and looked to imitate that function. Another inspiration is the stylistic sharp geometry of the drawing style from classic Star Wars cartoons. I tried to pay homage to that with the camouflage detailing on the outside of my droid, as well as imitating the camouflage of certain crabs. I used the Aurebesh lettering assets for the inlayed detail on the back, specifying this to be from the Q5 series. I tried to add personality to this droid and I believe that I was successful, especially with the way that the front turned out.

This is the most developed project I've worked on and completed using Fusion360 and I intend for it to not be the last.
