(13) Push Button Syringe Microphone Switch

An ordinary 3mL syringe can be turned into a hand held push button switch to operate almost any 2-way radio.

Procure a Syringe

If you have a condition that requires the use of a Syringe, your condition has finally brought you luck.

If not, then you have to think where you might get just the syringe body.

The syringe must be the kind where the needle unscrews from the body for safety's sake.

Insulin needles don't unscrew. Try hard not to use one, besides, the syringe body is too small.

If you are able to get just the body from your doctor all the better, if not, take it apart and give the parts you don't need back to the doctor.

The Switch

This just needs to be a 'Normally Open' push button switch. Like ah door bell switch, only not.

Wire

A length of small gauge wire from an old 'Wall Wart'  will do.

Cut off the wall wart and the plug that it came with.

When you cut off the tip of the syringe a nice size hole is left behind to snake the wire all the way through.

Solder the Wire to the Switch

Both wires get soldered to the switch.
