Purple Rain, Purple Rain! (Cloud)
A nice big nightlight or room accent!
Materials
You can find just about everything at Dollar Tree!
Purple transparent cups (about 20)
Battery String LED Lights (10 bulbs)
Hot Glue Gun and about 20 sticks
Stuffing (if from Dollar Tree, you'll have to dismantle a few stuffed animals)
Purple string of beads (from kids section)
Permanent marker
Tape
Scissors
Knife or something sharp (I used nail clippers)
Fishing line or wire

Cups
First, plug in your hot glue gun so it can be heating up. Next, using your sharp tool, poke holes in the bottom of each cup. If needed, to make them all line up, use a marker to make a dot so you'll know where to make the holes. They have to be just big enough to fit one light.
Insert the Lights
Double up the cups and stick a light in.
Tape each pair of cups together and also tape the lights down.

Attaching the Cups
Hot glue every other cup together. Skip the end cup, and glue the next two together. Repeat skipping and gluing until you get to the other end.
Let's Get Fluffy!
Hot glue the stuffing around each cup. I found it easier to lay them all down, glue stuffing to all the tops of the cups, flip it to do the other side, and then fill in the gaps. Leave the bottoms of the cups (where the wires are) exposed for now.
Adding the Fishing Line
Next, flip all the cups upside down and make an oval.
Glue the edges of the end cups together.
On the far right cup, make two holes.
Taking a piece of fishing line (about 26 inches) thread it through both holes. Line up the ends of the fishing line and tie a knot.
Repeat on the left cup.
Tie the fishing lines together. This is how the cloud will hang.

Make It Rain!
Cut the bead strand into various lengths.
Flip your cloud on its side and glue one strand inside a few of the cups

Finishing Touches
I taped the battery box to a cup but, if you want it to hang for easier access, it's up to you! Glue more stuffing to cover the top.
Turn it on. Then, holding it by the fishing line, gently pick it up. Hang it on a doorknob or a strong nail. Arrange the pieces how you like them and use more stuffing to fill any gaps and cover exposed cup edges. Also, trim the raindrops to lengths you like.

Enjoy!
Hang it up high to be admired by all who see it! I hung mine on the end of my curtain rod but you can hand it from a strong hook in the ceiling too.
Mini Cloud
You can also make a Mini Cloud!
Preparing the Cups
Using doubled cups, poke holes in opposite sides.
Thread fishing line through them and tie a knot to make a handle.

Glue the stuffing all over. Simply drop the lights into the cup and you're ready to hang it up!
