Punch Activated Water Shooter

Punch Activated Water Shooter | Jinbe - Five Thousand Brick Fist (One Piece)

If you are a one piece fan. You must know Jinbe. Jinbe is a character in the One Piece series, that was created by Eiichiro Oda. Jinbe is an exceptionally powerful master of Fishman Karate. One of his techniques is Five Thousand Brick Fist. It is a powerful straight punch that produces a water shock wave.

I was inspired from Allen Pan’s project called ‘’Punch Activated Flamethrower." So I made similar project called “Punch Activated Water Shooter."

You make a hole in the bottle to mount water pump and another hole to get air pressure into the bottle to push on the surface of the water.

Electronics

Untitled Sketch 3_bb.jpg

My project consisted of an Arduino Nano, an accelerometer, a mini breadboard, a 9 volt battery was used to power the Arduino, a 12 v DC water pump, a L298N DC motor driver, 12 volt battery was used to power the L298N DC motor driver, and a water bottle was used to hold water. A punch has a unique acceleration that it has significant positive acceleration (the beginning of the punch), followed by a deceleration (the end of the punch) within a small window of time.

The Code

You will need adafruit sensor library and adafruit adxl345 library if it is not already installed. These can be downloaded from here and here.

You'll need something sturdy to mount everything onto. Find the wood board that fits the electronics and a bottle. I used velco strap to strap the wood board to my arm. I used double sided foam to mount my electronics. You may want to use more secure methods. I also used double tape for bending the tube. Fill the bottle with water and mount it onto board. Once everything is mounted to an arm, you have a Five Thousand Brick Fist Technique that shoot water when you throw a perfect punch :).
