Pumpkin Mosaic
At first, I was wanting to make a pumpkin beverage-pourer, but as I was washing the pumpkin, I dropped it off my 2-story deck. It smashed to smithereens, so it gave me the idea of making a pumpkin mosaic out of the broken pieces. It was a "beautiful oops!"
Supplies
pumpkin, piece of cardboard, knife, spade (or other flat gardening tool), Mod Podge, paint, paintbrushes, and a crafting heart
Step 1: Pumpkin Prep
Have an adult help you cut off the top of the pumpkin and scoop all the insides out of it.
Step 2: Pumpkin Destroyer
Destroy the pumpkin in any way! Be creative: throw it off a deck, smash it with a hammer, jump on it, play basketball with it, whatever your heart desires.
Step 3: Pumpkin Slicer
Break the pumpkin into smaller pieces using your hands, then use a shovel or spade to flatten the pieces.
Step 4: Get a Little Sticky
Spread Mod Podge or glue mixed with water across a cardboard sheet. Randomly place pumpkin pieces all over the glue, any way you'd like. Let dry overnight.
Step 5: Pumpkin Painting
Paint the cardboard between the pumpkin pieces any colors you like. I chose to use fall colors, but there are no rules on what colors to paint.
