Pulley Slingshot

This contraption is a slingshot that allows the user to more easily pull the slingshot back. This can be built bigger but I built it big enough only to shoot ping pong balls.

Deciding what you want to shoot out of the slingshot is very important. The bigger the object the more materials you'll need. Depending on the size you make it the size of the materials may need to change. It also helps to plan out what you are going to build so you only have to take one trip to the store

If you are using another sort of material to be used as the sling mechanism you can skip this step.

So what you want to do is loop the rubberbands together like the images above. Do this step twice.

First layout 5 pieces of tape. Two of the Pieces should be longer for the main thing and the other three should be around the same length. Then you want to stick the edges together like in picture two. Next, put two strips of tape on that big tape like picture three and wrap them around the back like the fourth picture.

Put one of the rubber bands in the taped section then fold it over. Then do it again with the bottom. Next, mark the back and make two slits. Fold that last piece of tape over itself four times and then put it through the slits. Finally, tape over the two hanging bits to finish the pouch.

First cut two pieces of wood one as the runway and one for where you put the slingshot. Then drill the two pillars into the smaller piece of wood. Then put the long plank over the small one and drill in through the planks, finally screw in the planks. If you are making this bigger you might want to reinforce the two pillars.

First, draw two circles on two different planks. Next cut four pieces of PVC two wider than the base and two shorter ones for the handle. Then drill through the PVC to keep the string in place. Next, put the big Pvc Ring into the front slot and the small one in the back. Finally, nail down the two back pieces to the runway. Once you put the angled PVC on you are done.

You put the string on the slingshot and tie it. Then you crank it back and once is cranked all the way. cut the rope to let it release.
