Propagating Mint From Cuttings

Hey,

In this instructable I'll show how to propagating mint from cuttings.

*Note: You can propagate any soft stem herb just with water.

It's easy and fun to make... I hope you like it. :D

Materials and Tools

Materials:

  • Mint plant

Tools:

  • Scissors
  • Small jar

*WARNING: DO NOT CUT YOURSELF WITH A SCISSORS!

Take a Cutting

Now it's time to cut your plant...

Cut it 5-6cm form the top.

*Note: Look at the picture.

Prepare the Cutting

Remove all the leaves from the cutting, except ones on the top.

When you remove the leaves, put the cutting in jar with water.

You need to chandge water every 2-3 days.

*Note: I'm useing only rain water.

Success

After 5-6days (in my case), small root start to grow.

It take about 2 weeks to grow root for planting.

Now you can plant it and enjoy your new mint plant..
