Print-in-Place Ratchet Driver Handle With Magnet
A stubby driver handle with convenient functions as
- Print-in-place : Just print, and you are all set. Assembly work is not necessary.
- Magnet : It holds the driver bit securely. Steel screws could be held at the tip of the driver.
- Durable ratchet mechanism : Tapered ratchet gear makes it not only easy to print but also sturdy operation. Pressure from your palm to the screw bit effectively aligns and locks the ratchet gear.
- Double sided : It can be used for both rotations (CW and CCW) by flipping
Supplies
- 3D printer and your favorite material (I use common PLA)
- Neodym (neodymium) magnet, diameter = 13mm, thickness = 2.5mm
- Superglue
- Lubricant (silicone grease splay)
- Printer should be stopped during print at height = 12.4mm. Set the "Pause at Height" function with your slicer.
- During the pause, place the magnet at the central hole.
- If your print head is made of steel, the magnet flies up when the print head passes over the magnet. In this case, stick the magnet to the printed object using superglue.

- The ratchet mechanism is locked naturally by the pushing force to the driver. You would be familiar to its operation soon.
- To change the direction of rotation, use the opposite side of the handle.
- If the rotation is not smooth, apply lubricant (silicone grease splay) to the gap.
note : This item is an improved version of Print-in-place Palm Ratchet Screwdriver Knob.
