Potato Soup on a Winter Day!
Potato Soup
Prep Time: 15-20 minutes
Cook Time: 1-2 hours Or slower cooker
Serving Size: 5-6
Materials: Pan, Knife, cutting board, potato peeler, cookie sheet, spoon
Food: 6 strips of Bacon, 2 cans of chicken cream of soup, 6 cups of water, 8 large potatoes, small onion, 4 carrots, parsley, salt and pepper, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and a bag of corn.
*****Of course there are many ways to make potato soup, I used what I had left to throw this Soup together.
Prepping the Food
Step One-Cut up a onion, 4 carrots, 8 potatoes and place them in a large pot on the stove.
Step Two- Add 2 cans of cream of chicken soup and 6 cups water to the pot.
Step Three- add corn
Mixing the Soup
Step Four-Mix all of the ingredients in the pot and set the stove to medium heat.
Step Five- add the cheese, salt and pepper to taste and add parsley.
Step Six- Let Soup cook on low-medium heat for one to two hours until potatoes are tender. You can also place it in a crockpot on low.
Step Seven- While soup starts to cook, fry up a few pieces of bacon. I used about 6 pieces and baked them in the oven to add to the soup.
Serve
Step Eight- Add bacon to soup and stir occasionally until potatoes are tender.
Step Nine-Serve soup with fresh bread and a salad for a complete meal!
