A potato gun toy can be made from an aluminum beverage can and a bike pump. Range is up to 30 feet but more often about 10 feet.

Supplies

Potato
Bike pump
Aluminum Beverage Can
Packing tape

Tools:
Snap off knife
Scissors

Make a Tube for the Barrel

Make a tube of about 6 inches long and 3/8 inches in diameter.

This can be done using an aluminium beverage can for example.
* Cut both ends off an aluminum can.
* Trim so there are no jagged edges with scissors.
* Cut down the middle.
* Flatten against an edge.
* Roll into a tube about 6 inches long and 3/8ths of an inch in diameter, secure with
packing tape.
* Tape fully with packing tape so the seam is sealed.

Attach Barrel to Bike Pump

Attach the tube to the bike pump with packing tape. Make it secure.

Load With Potato

Load with potato by inserting the barrel into a potato. Shot at a target by pumping the bicycle pump a couple of times.
