Potato Clock

Materials Needed:

- potato
- digital clock
- copper coin
- zinc nail
- 2 pieces of electric tape
- 2 copper wires


Step 1

Gather the required materials as listed in the materials needed list.

Step 2

Wrap one copper wire around a zinc nail.

Step 3

Wrap a piece of electric tape around the wire and nail to make a secure connection.

Step 4

Make sure the copper wire touches the copper coin.

Wrap a piece of electric tape around the wire and coin to make a secure connection.

Place the nail into the potato.

Place the coin into the opposite side of the potato.

Wrap one lose end of wire around the negative end of the battery compartment.

Make the other lose end of wire come in contact with the positive end of the battery compartment.

When everything is connected you will have a closed circuit and the digital alarm clock will turn on. Set the clock and you are free to use it for everyday use.
