I was browsing thru the featured place I thought of an idea... the idea was that to make a natural squirrel proof bird feeder. So here it is the Potato Bird feeder (2.0v)(if you’re wondering what happened to version 1 then here it is (I will say it’s 5 words) make, happy, proud, hang, fell :)

Supplies

1 potato (I would prefer 2 because you might mess up)

Metal string thing(who knows what they are called)

Okay now you decided that you wanted to give this a try let’s talk about potato, you can literally use any potato. I am using a 2 normal potato’s(photo above).

Marking Potato

Now is the easy step, all you need to do is to draw a square(you choose what size) in the middle of the potato. Do not make the layer on the bottom to thin(you will see why later).

You should first trace the square with a knife and then start carving with a spoon. @above is some photos that I took to record my progress. Note:do not carve to the very bottom(or else there will be a hole duh πŸ˜’). Those people out there that likes to cook Do not I repeat do not cook the potato to make the carving part easy just take your time to do it.

Drying the Potato

Take a paper towel and Stuff it into the potato to dry the inside. You should do this because then it would be much easier to do the potato will be come soggy if you let it stay wet.

The Hanging Part

Bend one of those metal string thingy to make a handle as shown above. And stick it to the potato, you may need to push a little harder to get it in.

The Part Where the Bird Stands

Keep on folding the metal string to make a strong string and stick it to the potato.Make sure the stick is strong so the the bird does not fall.

Now you are done you can put it on the tree and watch the birds wasting from it peacefully.
