Portable Speakers With Synced LEDs
Hello. Today I'm going to show you how to make your own portable speakers with synced LEDs. Its very easy and you don't need any micro controller to make it. Lets get started.
Step 1: Grab the Items
I bought some USB powered speakers with audio in. You will need:
1. USB powered speakers with audio in.
2. Cardboard or wood. You can also use a box.
3. Lithium ion battery charger and 3v to 5v step up booster.
4. LEDs. Any color you like. I used pink or purple.
5. Hot Glue gun
6. 2 lithium ion batteries.
7. Drill
8. Broken or Non-working LCD.
Step 2: Lets Begin
Here I used an lcd from a 7 inch digital frame. I disassembled the LCD and got a transparent acrylic sheet. We will use it as a front cover. Go ahead and mark the points where you'll put your speakers. Then drill holes for the speaker.
Step 3: Assembly
Now put your other components in the box and glue them in place. Also connect the LEDs to the speakers. There will be 2 wires coming from the speaker. Check for positive and negative and solder your leds to it. The louder the sound, the brighter leds will glow. Also put your lithium ion batteries with the charger in it and check for any short circuits. Connect all the wires and drill hole for your audio in port and you're done. :)
Final Product.
You can also paint it as you like.
